With over 35 years of engineering and construction management experience, Steve Watson serves as the Group Director of Engineering and Development at Grace Bay Resorts since January 2023.

In his role as the Developers Representative, Steve oversees contractors and direct reports, providing a unique perspective as both an owner and operator. Currently managing engineering teams, including the $150 million phased development of Rock House and The Point. 

Steve's prior positions encompassed leadership roles, such as Owners Rep/Director of Development at Four Seasons – Anguilla, Vice President of Engineering & Development at Viceroy Hotels & Resorts – Anguilla, and Senior Project Manager/Director of Engineering at The Kor Group, Viceroy Hotels & Resorts – Anguilla. Notable achievements include managing large in-house teams, contributing to planning and executive committees, and successfully completing the construction of the $500+ million Viceroy Anguilla luxury resort. Additional Project Manager roles at Projetech in Turks & Caicos involved overseeing projects like Ritz Carlton – Molasses Reef West Caicos and The Estates – Grace Bay Resorts Luxury residences. 

Academically, Steve holds a BSc (Hons) in Construction Management from Nottingham Trent University and a Masters Certificate in Strategic Management & Leadership from the Chartered Management Institute (CMI). His professional training and certifications include a C.I.O.B Construction Management Diploma and a City & Guilds 7307 Teacher Training Cert. Steve's impressive blend of academic qualifications and hands-on experience underscores his profound understanding of the built environment and operational needs across diverse industries.
